Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame!
~ William Butler Yeats, “The Land of Heart’s Desire.”

BIOGRAPHY
Hello there. Thank you for visiting my little corner of the Internet!
My writer’s name — just like my real name — is Sylvia Lorianne Leong. I’m a therapeutic personal trainer, a devoted environmentalist, and obsessed with writing.
My independent nature makes me unemployable. Yet, Pulp Literature Press allows me to be one of their first readers and the North Shore Writers’ Association is letting me edit their newsletters. My successes to date: three of my short stories are published and another short fiction won third place in Vancouver’s 27th Annual North Shore Writing Competition. Plus, I hold the prize for the most drafts needed before any of my writing is readable.
The City of North Vancouver, past and present, and the surrounding ocean, ravines, and mountains inspire my uplifting fiction. When not in the rainforest snapping photos and searching for fairies, I spend my time snuggled in bed with my laptop writing a ménage à trois of romance, historical, and contemporary fantasy.
You can find me with my husband drinking wine in a shoebox in the sky, or more probable, because we never answer our door, at:
